Peter has extensive investment, corporate advisory and financing experience gained through > 30 years in, the natural resources sector. This includes involvement with several successful start-up companies in the Asian resource sectorand as a Senior Portfolio Manager with a major financial institution. Peter is a Fellow of the AusIMM and FINSIA and a Member of the Society of Mining Engineers; he holds Bachelor degrees in Science (Geology), Engineering (Mining with Honours) and has a Masters of Geoscience (Mineral Economics) and a Graduate Diploma from the Securities Institute of Australia.
Paul is one of the founders of AAM and is responsible for the growth of our business in Myanmar and Australia. The former Manager of Exploration at Fortescue-Metals Group (FMG), Paul has more than 15 years experience in multicommodity project generation and exploration management throughout Australasia and Africa. Paul is also the General Partner for Exploration and Evaluation at Ibaera Capital, a Perth-based Private Equity firm that invests in advanced-stage gold and base metals Projects. He has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Geology from Curtin University, Western Australia and is a Member of the AusIMM.
Geoff has over 25 years of resource sector experience as a geologist, project manager, corporate financier and fund manager. He was most recently an owner and Investment Director of Pacific Road Capital, a private equity manager, investing in the global mining industry. Prior to that he was a Director of Societe General's Mining Finance group in New York. Geoff holds a Bachelor degree in Geology, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Geoff is currently also non-Executive Chairman of AIM-listed Cora Gold, a Partner at Medea Capital Partners, is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM).
Darren is a corporate lawyer with over 20 years' experience in equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, project acquisitions/divestments and corporate governance gained through private practice and in-house roles in Western Australia. Mr Wates is the Principal of Corpex Legal, a Perth based legal practice providing corporate, commercial and resources related legal services, primarily to small and mid-cap ASX listed companies. Mr Wates is also currently a non-executive director of ASX listed company Silver City Minerals Ltd and a director of the Western Australian Cricket Association Ltd. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree, Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment.
Henry has been leading AAM's project generation program since early 2015; responsible for project evaluations, regional geological assessments and the development of our proprietarv geoscientific database, guiding our project selection and improving our understanding of the gold and copper potential within Myanmar's major metallogenic belts. A geology graduate from Monash University, Henry gained his early exploration experience with Fortescue Metals Group, where he was a team leader for gold and base metals exploration in Western Australia.
Mark is a corporate lawyer with extensive experience in both the mining industry and Southeast Asia investment jurisdiction. Mark is the Founding Partner at Yangon-based Livingstons Legal, an independent corporate legal practice. Prior to launching Livingstons Legal, Mark was a corporate advisor and private practice lawyer in Yangon. He has extensive experience in executing complex fundraising transactions, implementing good corporate governance and compliance practices and managing and resolving operational issues in the legal and regulatory context. His legal career spans over ten years of varied corporate and commercial work, including senior in-house roles in listed resources companies with South-East Asian assets.
Kyaw commenced with our Myanmar subsidiary as an Exploration Geologist in early 2016 and took ownership of the license approvals process later that year. An extremely hard working, motivated and talented young professional, Kyaw, together with his likeminded team of young geologists, have made excellent progress of late with respect to advancing our portfolio of license applications towards granted status.
David has >40 years of international experience in all aspects of mineral exploration and project feasibility, including senior management positions at Eurasian Minerals, East Asia Minerals, Kentor Gold, MIM Exploration and Newcrest Mining. He has managed exploration teams over a diverse range of geographic and cultural environments which have led to the discovery of several major gold and base metal deposits in the Pacific Rim including; Tolukuma, PNG (Au), Cerro Negro, Argentina (Au), Rio Blanco, Peru (Cu-Mo) and Pierina, Peru (Au-Ag).
